Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

In the case of rain or inclement weather we will recommend an outdoor location that has a covered area or guests can re-book for another available date in our calendar. We will track the weather leading up to your event and will make a decision with you 24 hours prior to your event. Cancellation due to weather must be made 48 hours in advance.  


Sun and heat can be an issue for some guests. Quinte Picnics staff tries to setup in optimal locations with shade however depending on the time of day, weather conditions and location of the picnic this is not always an option. We provide water and ice for guests to stay hydrated and offer evening picnic times.  

Where can I have my picnic?

We service Belleville and surrounding area within a 30 minute radius. If you wish to have a picnic outside our area a $50 travel fee is required. We have a list of Belleville and Prince Edward County locations but are not limited to these locations. We also provide picnic setup at residential locations. 

Do you provide food and beverages?

With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic we are doing our part by limiting food handling and points of contact. We will pick up any curbside orders placed by our guests and bring them to the picnic. We have a list of local vendors we can provide guests looking for food options. 

Can we bring/consume alcohol at the picnic?

Consuming alcohol in public or city parks is prohibited in Ontario. We do not sell, provide or promote consumption of any alcohol.

How much notice do you need for a booking?

We require 48 hours in advance of a booking date. 

How can I pay my deposit?

All payments are made by email transfer at this time.

What is the cancellation policy?

The 50% deposit is non-refundable as we have reserved your booking and withheld that spot from other guests wishing to book. 

What if I need to leave the picnic early?

You will be provided with a contact number when you arrive at your picnic. If you wish to leave earlier than your expected time please text the number 15 minutes prior to your departure. We ask that you stay at the site until a staff arrives as our equipment is costly and we wouldn't want items stolen or damaged in your absence. 

What safety measures are you taking during the Covid-19 pandemic?

Equipment is washed and sanitized after all picnic events. Staff are equipped with personal safety gear including hand sanitizer, masks and gloves during setup and takedown. Socially distanced seating is provided. Limited food handling and points are contact are in effect.
